CANAAN SCHOOL SYSTEM
The Canaan School system currently serves approximately 178 students in grades K–12. Because the school is relatively small, its 50 faculty and staff members are able to provide individualized attention and support to meet the educational and personal needs of each student. This close-knit learning environment allows teachers and staff to build strong relationships with students while providing a well-rounded and supportive educational experience.
Students benefit from a comprehensive college preparatory curriculum designed to prepare graduates for higher education and lifelong learning. At the same time, the school offers access to extensive Career and Technical Education (CTE) opportunities, allowing students to develop practical skills and explore career pathways in fields such as trades, technology, health services, and other vocational disciplines. These opportunities help ensure that students are prepared for a variety of post-secondary options, whether that be college, technical training, or entry into the workforce.
In addition to strong academic and technical programs, the school also places a strong emphasis on the arts and creative expression. Students are encouraged to participate in music, visual arts, and other creative activities that enrich their educational experience and support personal growth. Together, these academic, technical, and artistic programs help provide students with a balanced and engaging education.
